Send flowers through local florists for the most reliable service. Many online companies have arisen which operate as middlemen between local florists and the consumer. The use of such companies may be preferable when it comes to saving time and effort, however many will offer less quality at a more expensive cost.

If a consumer decides to send flowers through the Internet, he or she would do well to research the particular company selected. Many try to present the image of a local shop, yet do not operate as such. Because the majority of online sellers operate as forwarding services, they may not really know what is and isn't available in a buyer's area.

Of course, many local florists allow their customers to send flowers via online orders. This is much better because the buyer is less likely to be mislead as far as availability and the condition of particular plants. Certain flowers are much more affordable during certain seasons.  A local florist would be more familiar with their stock and be able to offer the best prices.
